What this calculator does
This calculator shows the complete breakdown of all Etsy fees for a sale: listing fee (£0.16), transaction fee (6.5%), payment processing (4% + 20p), regulatory operating fee (1.15%), and optional offsite ads (15%). It also calculates your net revenue and estimated profit after product costs.
Who it is for
Etsy sellers, small business owners selling handmade or vintage items, and anyone considering opening an Etsy shop who wants to understand the fee structure.
How to use it
Enter your item price and optionally add shipping, cost of goods, and packaging costs. Enable offsite ads if applicable. Use reverse mode to find the price needed to achieve a specific profit.
How the calculation works
Each fee is calculated independently: Listing fee is flat at £0.16 per item. Transaction fee is 6.5% of item price + shipping. Payment processing is 4% + £0.20 of the total. Regulatory fee is 1.15% of the total. Offsite ads (if enabled) is 15% of the item price.
Worked example
An item priced at £25.00 with £3.50 shipping: Listing fee = £0.16. Transaction fee (6.5% of £28.50) = £1.85. Payment processing (4% of £28.50 + £0.20) = £1.34. Regulatory fee (1.15% of £28.50) = £0.33. Total fees = £3.68. Net revenue = £24.82.
